Carolyn Dorfman Dance invites you to audition for our 2026-27 season. Applicants should submit a video, resume/bio, and headshot beginning April 9, 2026. Selected dancers will be invited for an in-person audition and callback on May 27/29, 2026.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance seeks dancers with strong contemporary modern dance and ballet technique, bold athleticism, a broad theatrical range, strong partnering skills, and a keen desire for artistic growth. Dorfman creates work that shares the uniqueness and commonalities of the human story, thus maintaining a vibrant and diverse company of dancers is essential to our art and philosophy. All are welcome and Black, Indigenous and Artists of Color are encouraged to apply. 3-years professional experience, preferred.

The Company’s 2026-2027 Touring Season includes creation of new work, repertory reconstruction, performances in NJ/NYC and regional/national touring, with education residencies and community engagement.

• Company positions beginning September 15, 2026
• Non-union, Minimum 28-week contract
• 20-hour weekly rehearsal schedule in NYC
• Legal work status required
• Base salary begins at a minimum of $450/wk; additional pay for teaching and performance.

Applicants will receive confirmation of their registration upon submission. Selected dancers will be invited to attend the Audition and Callback May 27/29, 2026 and will be contacted no later than May 19, 2026.
