About Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre:

Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre is Central Florida’s only professional dinner theatre, producing first-run Broadway-style musicals and nationally recognized tribute concert acts. Each production combines high-quality live entertainment with a full dining experience for up to 400 guests per performance.

The theatre welcomes over 75,000 patrons annually and maintains a season ticket base of more than 5,000 subscribers, making it one of the region’s highest-volume and most established entertainment venues. We are seeking a strategic, marketing-driven Box Office Manager to lead ticketing and sales operations while supporting continued growth and audience engagement.

Position Summary:

The Box Office Manager provides leadership and oversight for all box office, ticketing, sales, and group sales coordination functions. This role manages and directs a team of 4–6 staff members, including box office sales staff and Group Sales Coordinators, who execute daily operations.

The Box Office Manager sets strategy, establishes systems and processes, and ensures staff are equipped to successfully carry out ticketing, sales, and marketing initiatives. While this is a hands-on leadership role, the primary focus is on managing people, forecasting trends, guiding promotions, and driving performance rather than personally executing every task. The Manager is expected to be available day-to-day to support staff with escalated ticketing issues, seating challenges, and elevated guest service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Ticketing & Sales Leadership

- Provide leadership and oversight of daily box office operations, ensuring staff effectively manage ticket sales, exchanges, seating assignments, ADA accommodations, and special requests.
- Supervise, coach, and support the box office sales team to maintain accuracy, professionalism, and exceptional guest service.
- Be available to assist staff with escalated ticketing issues, seating challenges, and high-touch guest situations.
- Oversee ticket inventory, pricing structures, discount codes, and promotional ticket packages.
- Guide upselling strategies to increase per-guest revenue and maximize performance-level sales.

Marketing, Digital & Promotional Oversight
- Partner with leadership to plan and support marketing initiatives tied directly to ticket sales performance.
- Oversee and manage social media marketing efforts, providing direction, priorities, and performance expectations for campaigns that support ticket sales.
- Coordinate with internal staff or external partners responsible for executing social media, digital marketing, and promotional initiatives.
- Provide ticketing data and trend analysis to inform digital advertising, email marketing, and promotional strategy.
- Assist with website content maintenance and updates, ensuring accurate show information, pricing, promotions, and ticket availability.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize revenue and attendance.

Group Sales Coordination (Management Role)
- Supervise and support Group Sales Coordinators who execute day-to-day group sales activity.
- Ensure consistent processes are in place for outreach, reservations, communication, and follow-up.
- Assist with coordinating seating maps, group holds, special requests, and large-party logistics.
- Serve as a liaison between Group Sales Coordinators and internal departments to ensure smooth execution and guest satisfaction.

Trend Forecasting & Revenue Strategy
- Analyze historical sales data, seasonality, and show performance to forecast attendance and revenue.
- Recommend pricing strategies, promotional adjustments, and inventory optimization based on demand trends.
- Identify underperforming performances early and guide corrective strategies.
- Track customer purchasing behavior to support long-term audience growth and retention.

Operational & Administrative Oversight
- Oversee office supply inventory for the box office and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate box office–related vendors, including ticketing software providers, printers, and service partners.
- Manage inventory of promotional and printed materials such as programs, flyers, mailers, and signage.
- Coordinate postage needs, mailings, and related administrative logistics.
- Ensure operational systems, materials, and supplies are in place to support efficient daily box office operations.

Leadership & Team Management
- Manage, train, schedule, and develop a staff of 4–6 box office and sales team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
- Establish clear expectations, workflows, and customer service standards.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for results.
- Foster a positive, guest-centered culture grounded in hospitality, accuracy, and collaboration.

Customer Service & Cross-Department Collaboration
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex guest service issues.
- Ensure clear, professional communication with patrons regarding ticketing policies and seating needs.
- Collaborate closely with House Management, Food & Beverage, Production, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Oversee daily sales reconciliation and ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly ticketing, sales, and attendance reports for leadership.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 3+ years of experience in box office, ticketing, sales management, or hospitality leadership.
- Proven experience managing and developing customer-facing teams.
- Strong working knowledge of ticketing systems (Arts People, AudienceView, OvationTix, Tessitura, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong analytical ability with experience forecasting sales trends.
- Working knowledge of social media marketing platforms and the ability to manage campaigns that support ticket sales.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by performance schedules.
- Ability to be on-site daily to support staff and operations.

Preferred:
- Experience in professional theatre, performing arts, or live entertainment.
- Supervisory experience with group sales or subscription-based organizations.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, digital / email marketing tools, and audience analytics platforms.

Why Join Us:
- Leadership role at one of Florida’s most established professional theatres.
- Opportunity to influence ticketing, sales, and marketing strategy at scale.
- Collaborative environment with passionate arts, hospitality, and operations professionals.
- Competitive compensation with relocation assistance negotiable.
