Feed Me! The Deep-Rooted Legacy of Little Shop of Horrors

Cast and creatives of the award-winning New York revival of Little Shop of Horrors gathered to discuss the hit musical comedy’s deep roots in American theater, film, and pop culture; the thrills of performing it live on stage; and what keeps audiences and theatre-makers screaming “Feed Me!” more than four decades after its debut. Hosted by Alex Birsh (VP/COO, Playbill), the panel included EGOT winner Alan Menken (composer), Thomas Doherty (Seymour), Madeline Brewer (Audrey), and Major Attaway (Voice of Audrey II).

The Lost Boys: Adapting the Film for Broadway

The latest episode of the Playbill Podcast features the highly anticipated new musical The Lost Boys, based on the cult-classic film. On the panel were producer and stage-screen star Patrick Wilson, two-time Tony-winning director Michael Arden, and members of the cast: Ali Louis Bourzgui, LJ Benet, and Maria Wirries. Hosted by Emmy-nominee and Broadway veteran Zachary Quinto, the panel touched on how the idea for the musical came to be and what fans should be excited about as the show gears up for its run on Broadway, with previews beginning March 27 at the Palace Theatre.
