Charles Dickens, Thomas Jefferson, and Leo Tolstoy are in a room with a Bible, some paper, and pens. Such is the premise of Scott Carter’s The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, which opened October 1 at the Cherry Lane Theater in New York City.
Directed by Kimberly Senior (Disgraced), the production stars Michael Laurence as Jefferson, Duane Boutté as Dickens, and Thom Sesma as Tolstoy.
