The Seat of Our Pants, Ethan Lipton's new musical version of Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth, opened Off-Broadway November 13, and the reviews are rolling in.
The production is currently making its world premiere at The Public Theater, where it plays the Newman Theater. Performances continue through December 7.
The work tracks the Antrobus family over their 5,000 years, stuck in the same existential dread throughout, plus a number of absurd catastrophes.
Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles leads the cast as as Mrs. Antrobus, with Ally Bonino as Fortune Teller, Bill Buell as Turkey, Damon Daunno as Henry Antrobus, Micaela Diamond as Sabina, Amina Faye as Glady Antrobus, Andy Grotelueschen as Announcer, Shuler Hensley as Mr. Antrobus, Michael Lepore as Telegram Boy, Geena Quintos as Mammoth, and Ruth E. Sternberg as Mr. Fitzpatrick.
