The company's new take on the James Joyce classic is now running Off-Broadway.

Elevator Repair Service's Ulysses officially opened January 25, and the reviews are rolling in.

The production, which delayed their opening night celebration due to the winter storm that has settled over New York, plays Off-Broadway at the Public Theater. The show, part of the 2026 Under the Radar Festival, is playing the company's Martinson Hall through March 1.

The play, which debuted at Fisher Center at Bard last year, presents James Joyce's epic text abridged, with a run time of two hours and 40 minutes. John Collins directs, with co-direction and dramaturgy by Scott Shepherd. The cast includes Dee Beasnael, Kate Benson, Maggie Hoffman, Vin Knight, Scott Shepherd, Christopher-Rashee Stevenson, and Stephanie Weeks.
