London News West End Titanique Will Welcome New Cast Members This Summer

The irreverent send-up of the blockbuster film Titanic plays the Criterion Theatre at Piccadilly Circus.

The international hit musical Titanìque, which officially opened at the Criterion Theatre at Piccadilly Circus in London’s West End January 9, will welcome two new cast members later this summer.

Beginning July 15, Astrid Harris will take over the role of Céline Dion. Harris, who has been performing as Celine in the French production of the show, will succeed Olivier nominee Lauren Drew. And, beginning July 22, Jenny O’Leary (We Will Rock You) will step into the role of Molly Brown, having performed the same part in the Paris production. O'Leary will take over as maternity cover for Charlotte Wakefield.

The London company also currently includes Luke Bayer as Jack, Darren Bennett as Victor Garber/Luigi, Richard Carson as Cal, Hiba Elchikhe as Rose, Carl Mullaney as Ruth, Tosh Wanogho-Maud as The Iceberg plus Adrianne Langley, Madison Swan and Rodney Vubya as on-stage background vocalists and offstage understudies Freddie King and Caitlin Tipping.

Parodying the Oscar-winning film Titanic, Céline Dion commandeers a tour at the Titanic Museum and delivers her version of what really went down between Jack and Rose with hits by the iconic singer, including "My Heart Will Go On," "All By Myself," and "To Love You More."

Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli co-wrote the musical with production director Tye Blue. Titanìque features music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Nicholas James Connell, choreography by Ellenore Scott, scenic design by Gabriel Hainer Evansohn and Grace Lauchbacher, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Paige Seber, and sound design by Lawrence Schober. Casting is by Pearson Casting.

Off-Broadway, the work transferred from the Asylum Theatre to the Daryl Roth, where it continues through June 29.
