Say it ain't so! Rock band Weezer will hit the Main Stem to play a five-night residency at the Broadway Theatre September 13-18 in celebration of their new project SZNZ, a collection of EPs themed for each of the four seasons.
The run has been teased as "unlike any shows Weezer have played before," and each performance will coincide with a different season’s EP, plus a few of the band's classics: September 13 will be Spring, September 14 will be Summer, September 16 will be Autumn, and September 17 will be Winter. The fifth night, September 18, will be an "encore" mix of SZNZ songs and Weezer fan favorites.
The project kicked off March 21 with the release of SZNZ: Spring, followed by the 7-track album SZNZ: Summer, which dropped June 21, coinciding with the summer solstice. The next two editions are expected to drop later this year.
Weezer comprises Brian Bell on backing vocals and guitar; Rivers Cuomo on vocals, guitar, and piano; Scott Shriner on backing vocals and bass; and Pat Wilson on drums. The band has released 15 studio albums and eight EPs—including SZNZ: Spring and SZNZ: Summer— along with their top singles "Say It Ain't So," "Island in the Sun," and "Beverly Hills."
Tickets become available June 24 at 10 AM ET via Telecharge.
