Arielle Jacobs, who played Jasmine in Broadway's Aladdin, performed a song written for Disney's live-action adaptation of the work July 22 in Bryant Park.

The Broadway Sinfonietta is an all-women orchestra under the musical direction of Macy Schmidt. The concert highlighted Human First Coalition, an organization dedicated to providing aid to post-war Afghanistan with a focus on serving Afghan women and girls. Jacobs was accompanied by conductors Cynthia Meng and Zarifa Adiba and percussionist April Centrone, along with a 25-piece orchestra. Additional performers for the evening included Krystina Alabado and Solea Pfeiffer.

Jacobs made her Broadway debut starring in Lin-Manuel Miranda's In The Heights, before continuing on to roles in Wicked and Aladdin. She is currently starring in Off-Broadway's Between the Lines, a new musical that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.
