Andrew Lloyd Webber and Linedy Genao joined Today October 4 to talk about their upcoming new musical Bad Cinderella, which announced a Broadway debut October 3, and the end of The Phantom of the Opera's historic 35-year run, set for February 2023.

"I think it was [late director] Hal Prince's masterpiece as a production," shares Lloyd Webber of his long-running musical. I don't think we'll ever see anything quite like that again, or at least I probably won't." Watch the full appearance above.

The Phantom of the Opera, Broadway's longest-running show, will take its final bow at the Majestic Theatre February 18, capping off a historic 35-year run. One day prior, Lloyd Webber's newest show, Bad Cinderella, will take its first Broadway bow at the Imperial Theatre with newcomer Linedy Genao in the title role. The new musical, a modern take on the classic fairy tale, features a book by Oscar-winning screenwriter Emerald Fennel, music by Lloyd Webber, and lyrics by Tony winner David Zippel.

The Phantom of the Opera has music by Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Charles Hart (with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe), and a book by Stilgoe and Lloyd Webber. The production also features musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne, scenic and costume design by Maria Björnson, lighting design by Andrew Bridge, and sound design by Martin Levan with David Caddick as music director. Cameron Mackintosh and Lloyd Webber's The Really Useful Group serve as producers. The late Prince directed.
