Casting is now complete for the Los Angeles premiere of Millennials Are Killing Musicals, which will play The Colony Theatre in Burbank April 30–May 17 before arriving at a New York venue to be announced. Opening night is set for May 2.

Directed by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages), the cast will be led by the previously reported Emma Hunton (Good Trouble, Spring Awakening) as Brenda, John Krause (Hadestown, Wicked national tour) as Nate and Atlas, and Diana Huey (The Little Mermaid) as Katrina.

Newly announced for the production are Jennifer Leigh Warren (Little Shop of Horrors, Marie ChristineBig River) as Nana Marie and Matthew Thomas Grant (Grey's Anatomy, Zoe’s Extraordinary Playlist) as Dylan/The Algo plus Aynsley Bubbico (Greek, This Is Us) as Jake's Mom, social media's Mitchell Gerrard Johnson as Pacifica, and Lana McKissack (Snake Oil) as Luna. Completing the company are standbys Whitney Kathleen Vigil, Casey Anne Apregan, and Frankie Zabilka.

The original musical comedy, featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Nico Juber, follows Brenda, a single millennial mom who just wants to do better “adulting” when her younger #influencer sister Katrina shows up eight months pregnant and totally unprepared for motherhood.

The upcoming production will also have scenic design by Stephen Gifford, lighting design by Gavan Wyrick, costume design by Jessica Champagne-Hansen, sound design by Cricket Myers, properties design by John McElveney, projection design by Taylor Edelle Stuart, music direction, arrangements, and orchestrations by Anthony Lucca, choreography by Michelle Elkin, associate direction by Cheryl Daro, associate musical direction by Nathan Heldman, and casting by Michael Donovan and Richie Ferris.

The production stage manager is Iliana Solorzano.

The musical played a limited developmental engagement at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament's Theatre 71 in May 2023 with Grammy and Emmy winner Kristolyn Lloyd. An original cast recording followed. The upcoming production will mark the musical's official world premiere.
