Film & TV News Video: See Wicked Star Jonathan Bailey Play the Clarinet for Jurassic World Rebirth

He can sing, he can dance, he can outrun dinosaurs—and he can play a musical instrument.

Olivier Award winner Jonathan Bailey has gone from dancing through life to outrunning dinosaurs. Bailey is one of the leads of the upcoming film Jurassic World Rebirth (which also stars Tony winner Scarlett Johansson). But while Bailey is not singing while outrunning dinosaurs, he is doing something musical for the film if you listen to the score.

"I played in an orchestra when I was 18. If you could have told me at that age one day there was an opportunity to play with a 105-piece orchestra at Abbey Road with Alexander Desplat conducing both the John Williams score and also his own incredible original score—I would not quite believe it." See Bailey play the classic theme to Jurassic Park on clarinet in the video above, he even gets a solo!

Jurassic World Rebirth takes place five years after the franchise's previous film, Jurassic World Dominion, where dinosaurs are once again relegated to isolated environments, including on an island. Johansson plays skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett, contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure the genetic material from dinosaurs that could provide a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind. The film also stars two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted team member; and Bailey as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis.

Jurassic World Rebirth will be released July 2 in movie theatres. Bailey can also be seen later this year in Wicked: For Good, where he will reprise his role of Fiyero, opposite Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. For Good will be released in movie theatres November 21.
