Theatre for the New City will present Natalie Menna's Hiroshi-Me-Me-Me January 18—28. The comedy chronicles how (not) to handle romance through the conflicts of three people who frequent a Manhattan coffee shop. Roger Hendricks Simon will direct the work.
Hiroshi-Me-Me-Me centers on Roberta, her best friend Sarah, and her boyfriend Hiroshi, who are now feeling from Roberta due to her self-absorbed delusions. Unforeseen events jeopardize these already all-too complicated relationships, and the audience gets to watch the unravelling and all the banter, comedy, and bittersweetness that comes with it. Natalie Menna, Brad Fryman and Holly O'Brien will star as Roberta, Hiroshi, and Sarah, respectively.
Menna's play was previously presented at The Network One-Act Festival. Theatre for the New City now presents the premiere of the full-length version.
