Playbill Travel has an exciting lineup of Broadway talent for its luxury river cruise offering: Broadway in Burgundy and Provence, set for May 7–14, 2026. The once-in-a-lifetime experience invites guests to travel to numerous cities in France aboard AmaWaterways' AmaCello.

Joining guests on this one-of-a-kind experience are Tony Award-winning performers Stephanie J. Block and Joaquina Kalukango, Tony nominee Jordan Donica, and real-life Broadway couple Erika Henningsen and Kyle Selig. Playbill Travel favorite, John McDaniel, will serve as music director/pianist.

Playbill Cruises provide guests with up-close-and-personal experiences at the highest level, unlike any other vacation available to a Broadway fan. Cruise guests explore the world by day, then enjoy intimate and up-close cabaret performances from Broadway’s finest onboard a five-star luxury ship in the evening.

On the Broadway in Burgundy and Provence river cruise, after flying into France, guests will board the AmaCello in Arles before heading through Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise wine region.

Travelers will begin their journey by visiting Arles, known for its Roman ruins and Van Gogh's legacy. Guests may explore Arles Papal Palace and medieval walls on a guided walking tour, taste regional specialties, or visit a Châteauneuf-du-Pape winery.

Avignon is the next stop. Known as the "City of Popes," this location was the center of the Catholic Church in the 14th century.

Relaxation is also part of the itinerary—guests can unwind on their balcony or the Sun Deck while cruising to Viviers. Upon arrival, adventure through the charming medieval city by bike, or visit the hilltop village of Grignan. Later, stroll through the city with a guide in Renaissance attire as costumed "residents" reenact historical events and legends.

Vienne, while located in Southeastern France, is very much a Roman city. Step back in time and enjoy the marvelously preserved ruins.

The following day, guests will explore Lyon, beginning with its UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fourvière Hill, and historic basilica. Guests can then continue to the old town and discover its unique traboules, with the option to choose from a guided walk, bike tour, or food tour, or even hike to the Monastery at Mount Pipet.

Next, travelers will explore Mâcon, known for its vineyards, museums, and historical sites; or Cluny's impressive Romanesque abbey. Lunch will then be served on the Sun Deck as AmaCello sails to Trevoux.

Exploring Chalon-Sur-Saône's medieval past or visiting Beaune's charming streets and historic hospital are next on the itinerary, with a visit to Tournus and its magnificent Benedictine Abbey of Saint Philibert. Alternatively, guests may explore the moated Château de Cormatin or the medieval village of Brancion, before disembarking the AmaCello at the Port of Dijon to begin their travels home.
