Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley will host an in-person version of their award-winning streaming series Stars in the House January 23 at the Green Room 42. Benefiting The Broadway Green Alliance's work for climate control, the 9:30 PM concert will also be streamed live.

Stars in the House for Climate Action, featuring Broadway stars and sustainability champions, will boast the talents of the previously reported Tony winner Lena Hall (Little Shop of Horrors, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles (Sweeney Todd, The King and I), Tony nominee Anika Larsen (Almost Famous), Tony nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home), Mara Davi (A Chorus Line), Jenn Gambatese (Mrs. Doubtfire), Tamar Greene (Hamilton), Laurel Harris (Jagged Little Pill), and Alexandra Socha (Head Over Heels).

Newly announced for the evening are Ta-Tynisa Wilson (Hamilton) and company members from MJ The Musical.

The one-night-only event will also provide steps that audiences can take to combat the climate crisis.

“Sometimes the stars (in the house) align and people come together to share their time and talents toward breathing more love into the world!” said Gambatese in an earlier statement . “We all believe that when enough of us come together with inspired ideas and small actions wonderful things can happen for our planet.”

“It feels wicked awesome to be partnering with my ole pal Gamby to put together a fun, fancy concert with Seth and James, who do these concerts better than anyone! The BGA has helped me go from feeling helpless and hopeless about my kids’ planet, to feeling helpful and hopeful, and I want to spread that optimism!” added Larsen.

Gambatese, Larsen, and Molly Braverman serve as creative producers. David Katz is the technical advisor, and Lauren Mandras is the communications lead.

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and theatres across the world closing their curtains, Rudetsky and husband Wesley created Stars in the House, a live-streamed series to support The Entertainment Community Fund and its services, raising over $1.1 million dollars for the Fund and hundreds of thousands of dollars for additional non-profit organizations.

The Broadway Green Alliance educates, motivates, and inspires the theatre community and its patrons to implement environmentally friendlier practices.
