Los Angeles News See Who's Starring in It's All Your Fault, Tyler Price! Los Angeles Premiere

The project is the brainchild of Emmy winner Ben Decter and Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi.

Casting has been revealed for the upcoming world premiere of Emmy winner Ben Decter (Lucifer) and Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (Rock of Ages)'s musical It's All Your Fault, Tyler Price! The show will be seen at Hollywood's Hudson Theatre November 7–December 15, with opening night set for November 14. Hanggi is directing.

The musical follows a middle school kid who punches his bully, Tyler Price, defending his epileptic sister. His principal demands he explain himself to the entire school, which, naturally drives him to stage a musical.

The cast will include CJ Eldred (Rock of Ages) as Daniel, Jenna Pastuszek (Smile) as Emma, Faith Graham (The Wizard of Oz) as Lucy, Charlie Stover (A Christmas Story) as Jackson, Erin Choi (Frozen) as Coco, Patrick Ortiz (West Side Story) as Mr. Torres, Dahlya Glick (Quick & Funny Musicals) as Ms. Friss, Desi Dennis-Dylan (Superior Donuts) as Mrs. McKackney, and Jonah Orona (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) as Tyler Price. Understudies Lee James, Shelley Regner, Anabelle Skye Greene, and Jude Schwartz will round out the company. Casting is by Zachary Spiegel.

"When my family was in crisis—my little girl, diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, was having 100 seizures a day and we felt so isolated—I never imagined a musical would grow out of it. Writing these songs helped my family have difficult conversations and come together," said Decter in an earlier statement. "It’s All Your Fault, Tyler Price! is a fun, irreverent look at a family going through a really hard time—that everyone can relate to."

"This musical is a true passion project for us. It’s about dealing with struggles in our families and how challenging it is to be seen by those closest to us," added Hanggi. "Through art, our characters learn to explore uncomfortable feelings—things that can be difficult to share or admit. We can’t wait for Los Angeles—where I’ve gotten the opportunity to launch other new musicals—to see our show!"

Community partners for the upcoming production include Epilepsy Foundation, Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles, and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) Foundation.

The creative team is to be announced.
