Broadway's best and brightest took to social media and the stage to share their excitement May 1.

The 2025 Tony Awards nominations were announced May 1, and for many, it was a dream come true. Some of Broadway's best and brightest took to social media to celebrate their nomination, while others held it together long enough to celebrate on stage with the audience at the first post-nomination performance.

Dead Outlaw's Thom Sesma gave a post-show speech sure to bring a tear to the eye of even the most hardened desperado.

The stars of Operation Mincemeat took off to the West Bank Café for some celebratory sangria.

And BOOP! director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell decided to flex the three Tony Awards he already has at home on stage while celebrating the show's three nominations.

Sunset Blvd. placed a special sign in the hands of the monkey who takes part in its viral Act Two opening walk.

And, the musicians of the Buena Vista Social Club celebrated their special Tony Award recognition onstage, alongside their 10 competitive nominations.

The 78th Annual Tony Awards ceremony will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall June 8, beginning at 8 PM ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. Wicked film star and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo is set to host the evening.

The Tony Awards are produced in collaboration with Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, and White Cherry Entertainment. Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss are executive producers and showrunners for White Cherry Entertainment. Weiss will serve as director.

The American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. At the Broadway League, Kristin Caskey is chair, and Jason Laks is president. At the American Theatre Wing, Emilio Sosa is chair, and Heather Hitchens is president and CEO.
