The cast of Cymbeline also features Teagle F. Bougere as Caius Lucius, Cornelius; Kate Burton as Queen, Belarius; David Furr as Guidarius, First Lord; Jacob Ming-Trent as Aviragus, First Gentleman; and Steven Skybell as Pisanio, Gaoler, Frenchman. Linklater and Rabe both return following last year's Shakespeare in the Park staging of Much Ado About Nothing.
The production is helmed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (Merchant of Venice, Proof, Rabbit Hole), who also returns to the Delacorte following last summer's production of King Lear.
Cymbeline is a Shakespearean fairy tale featuring cross-dressing girls and cross-dressing boys, poisons and swordfights. Princess Imogen's fidelity is put to the test when her disapproving father banishes her soul mate.
Scenic design is by Riccardo Hernandez with costume design by David Zinn, lighting design by David Lander, sound design by Acme Sound Partners, original music by Tom Kitt and choreography by Mimi Lieber.
