Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse production of Eugene O’Neill’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Long Day’s Journey Into Night, directed by Jeanie Hackett, officially opened February 8. The story about a family coming apart at the seams was revived on Broadway last year, winning two Tony Awards.
The current production stars Tony nominee Alfred Molina (Fiddler on the Roof) as James Tyrone and Malcolm in the Middle’s Jane Kaczmarek as Mary Cavan Tyrone with Angela Goethals as Cathleen, Stephen Louis Grush as James Tyrone, Jr., and Colin Woodell as Edmund Tyrone. The production runs through March 18 in the Gil Cates Theater.
