The musical centers on best friends who attempt to solve the murder of their favorite author via their true crime podcast.

Edinburgh Fringe favorite (and Playbill Pick) Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! is now in London's West End, and the reviews are rolling in! Having begun performances at the Ambassadors Theatre May 25, the production will continue through September 14.

Starring Bronté Barbé (Newsies) and Rebekah Hinds (Oklahoma!) as Kathy and Stella (respectively), the musical centers on two best friends who host the least successful true crime podcast in Hull. When their favorite author is killed, they attempt solve the mystery—and turn their podcast into an international success.

In the West End, Barbé and Hinds are joined by Imelda Warren-Green (Doctor Who: Time Fracture) as Erica, as well as Elliot Broadfoot (Annie Get Your Gun) as Justin, Hannah-Jane Fox (Close-Up, the Twiggy Musical) as Felicia, Elliotte Williams-N'Dure (Moulin Rouge) as DI Sue Shaw, and Ben Redfern (The Witches) as David Slatter.

The company is completed by Jennifer Caldwell (Six the Musical), Chelsea Hall (Bring It On the Musical), and Sorelle Marsh (The Time Traveller’s Wife).

The production's music team comprises music director and keyboard player Andrew Hilton, keyboard player Catherine Benson, guitarist Laura Browne, and Philip Williams on drums.

Originally brought to the stage by Francesca Moody Productions and Kater Gordon, Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! features a book and lyrics by Jon Brittain, music and lyrics by Matthew Floyd Jones, and choreography by Fabrian Aloise, with Brittain and Aloise co-directing.
