The Verdict Reviews: What Did Critics Think of Off-Broadway's Golden Shield?

The reviews are in for the American premiere of Golden Shield! The production opened May 17 at Manhattan Theatre Club, following previews which began April 26. It is slated to run through June 12.

The play is written by Anchuli Felicia King (White Pearl) with direction by May Adrales (Vietgone) and follows American lawyer Julie Chen and her class-action lawsuit involving a technology corporation and the Chinese government. She hires her sister Eva as her translator and the two find themselves having to set aside their past differences.
