Recording artist, Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, and Broadway producer Kandi Burruss joins the cast of Broadway's & Juliet for a limited engagement beginning December 11 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
Burruss succeeds TikTok star Cheryl Porter as Angélique; Porter played her final performance December 7. Burruss' stint will continue through March 8, 2026.
Formerly a member of the R&B group Xscape, Burruss is a Grammy winner for writing the TLC hit "No Scrubs." She starred on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for 13 seasons, still one of the franchise's longest-serving cast members. She's since led spin-off reality series including The Kandi Factory, Kandi's Wedding, Kandi's Ski Trip, and Kandi and the Gang. She made her Broadway acting debut as Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago in 2018, and has since focused on producing on the Main Stem, working on Thoughts of a Colored Man, The Piano Lesson, The Wiz, Othello, and the upcoming revival of Joe Turner's Come and Gone.
“I could not be more thrilled to return to the Broadway stage in this incredible musical,” said Burruss in an earlier statement. “As a songwriter myself, I am such a fan of Max Martin’s genius mind, and to get to come back to Broadway in this joyful musical that celebrates his catalog is a dream come true.”

Featuring a book by David West Read, the score includes famous pop songs written by Max Martin, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “I Want It That Way,” and “Confident.”
