Operation Mincemeat on Broadway has announced it is cancelling its 7:30 PM evening performance for February 22 at the Golden Theatre—which was supposed to be the final show for its departing original Broadway cast. But don't fret Mincefluencers!
After the cast perform their now-final show together beginning at 2 PM Sunday, they will head down to the Laurie Beechman Theatre at 407 West 42nd Street to do a livestream concert of songs from Mincemeat beginning at 5:30 PM. Cast members David Cumming, Natasha Hodgson, Zoë Roberts, Jak Malone, and Claire-Marie Hall will perform. The ad-hoc show will be livestreamed on the show's Instagram account.

All Broadway matinees are currently going on as planned. But the Broadway League has announced that Sunday evening shows (anything occurring after 6 PM) are cancelled due to a blizzard which is expected to bring one-to-two feet of snow to New York City on Sunday and Monday. In addition to Mincemeat, other shows that have cancelled this evening are & Juliet, All Out: Comedy About Ambition, The Book of Mormon, Chicago, Oh, Mary!, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, and Wicked.
Beginning February 24, Mincemeat will welcome an entirely new cast of principals: Tony Award nominee Julia Knitel (Dead Outlaw, Beautiful) as Ewen Montagu & Others and Jeff Kready (Masquerade) as Hester Leggatt & Others, alongside existing understudies-turned-principals Brandon Contreras, Jessi Kirtley, and Amanda Jill Robinson who are taking over the roles of Charles Cholmondeley & Others, Jean Leslie & Others, and Johnny Bevan & Others, respectively.
The understudies will be made up of Robert Ariza, Allison Guinn, Sam Hartley, Gerianne Pérez and Lexi Rabadi.
Operation Mincemeat is the work of U.K. comedy group SpitLip, which comprises Cumming, Hodgson, Roberts, and Felix Hagan—who took the lead on the project's music.

The show tells a wacky, stranger-than-fiction story that is somehow completely true, following a World War II scheme in which British Intelligence officials dressed up a corpse as an officer in the Royal Marines in order to fool the German government into believing an Allied attack on Greece and Sardinia was imminent, covering up their true plans to invade Sicily in the process. Spoiler alert—it actually worked.
An import from the West End, Mincemeat won two Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical and Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for Jak Malone. It won one Tony Award, also for Malone's performance.
Mincemeat is directed by Robert Hastie, who's reunited his full London creative team, including choreographer Jenny Arnold, music director and supervisor Joe Bunker, orchestrator Steve Sidwell, set and costume designer Ben Stones, lighting designer Mark Henderson, and sound designer Mike Walker. Karen Moore serves as production stage manager.
The production is offering $39 tickets via a digital lottery program (enter at Rush.Telecharge.com) and $49 rush tickets in person daily at the Golden Theatre box office.
The Broadway run is produced by Avalon in association with SpitLip. Andrew Fell serves as executive producer.
