Cabaret & Concert News Nya, Fergie L. Philippe, and More French Woods Alumni Will Reunite for Benefit Concert at 54 Below

Proceeds from the live concert will benefit young artists looking to continue their arts education via Hancock French Woods Arts Alliance.

French Woods alumni will reunite at 54 Below November 11 for a benefit concert supporting the arts camp via Hancock French Woods Arts Alliance (HFWAA), with the performance also streaming live.

Hosted and directed by Michael Kushner, the evening will feature French Woords alumni, family, friends, and current campers, including Nya (Caroline, Or Change), Fergie L. Philippe (Hamilton), Ari Axelrod, Rebecca Kuznick, Tiger Brown, Abdiel Vivancos, and more.

Founded by Ron Schaefer and operated by Rose Robinson, HFWAA works to support the next generation of artists through arts education summer camp French Woods. Notable alumni of the camp, located outside Hancock, New York, include Doug Besterman, Jason Robert Brown, Andréa Burns, Zooey Deschanel, Melissa Errico, Jon Favreau, Barrett Foa, Gideon Glick, Adam Kantor, Adam Levine, Natasha Lyonne, Benj Pasek, and David Stone.

French Woods alumni are encouraged to email [email protected] for details on a virtual reunion planned for November 9, which will include appearances from Ron and Beth Schaefer. The Florence Belsky Charitable Foundation will match funds raised through the virtual reunion.

The November 11 benefit concert will feature music direction by Ben Caplan and is produced by Jen Sandler and Kushner.
