Ain't Too Proud and Motown star Nik Walker will return to Broadway's Hamilton, reprising his performance as Aaron Burr from March 1. The actor shared the news on Instagram.
The Pulitzer- and Tony–winning musical continues its run at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
Walker is a longtime Hamilton alum, playing at various times Hercules Mulligan, George Washington, and Aaron Burr. This 2022 engagement will be his first time back at the musical since 2017.
Written by and originally starring Miranda, Hamilton opened on Broadway in 2015 following its Off-Broadway world premiere at The Public Theater, and reopened after the shutdown last September.
Miguel Cervantes currently heads the cast in the title role with Krystal Joy Brown as Eliza Hamilton, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Jin Ha as Aaron Burr, Kyle Scatliffe as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Tony nominee Euan Morton as King George III, Fergie L. Philippe as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Aubin Wise as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, and Daniel Yearwood as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.
The production is directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, and features scenic design by David Korins, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, casting by Telsey + Company's Bethany Knox, and general management by Baseline Theatrical.
