A host of stage and screen stars—including several Tony winners—will be part of the opening night performance of the Hollywood Bowl's 2026 summer season.
Opening Night at the Bowl: The Best of Broadway, which is set for June 20, will feature the talents of Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple) plus Tony winners Darren Criss (Maybe Happy Ending, Little Shop of Horrors), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton, The Color Purple), Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime), and Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables), with additional artists to be announced.
Thomas Wilkins will conduct the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the evening will also feature musicians from YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles). Attendees can expect to hear Broadway tunes, from "heartstring-tugging ballads to razzle-dazzle songs with dancers," according to the Bowl.
Show time is 8 PM; the gates will open at 6 PM. Fireworks will conclude the opening-night celebration.
