Additional performers have been announced for Broadway Cares' newest annual concert event, Broadway Dream Roles, which debuted last April and will return April 20 at 7 PM at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (the current home of Moulin Rouge! The Musical).
Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares, the evening features a mix of Broadway favorites and rising stars stepping into roles they have longed to play, but never had the opportunity to.
Newly announced for the evening are Jordan Fisher (Little Shop of Horrors, Hamilton), Hailey Hyde (The Outsiders), four-time Tony nominee Judy Kuhn (Chess, Fun Home), Jeigh Madjus (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Donald Webber Jr. (Hamilton), and Tony winner Lillias White (Hadestown, The Life). Tony winner Francis Jue (Yellow Face) will host the evening, which will also feature Ragtime's Nichelle Lewis performing the Broadway Cares anthem penned by David Friedman, “Help Is on the Way.”
These artists join the previously reported Tony winner Santino Fontana (Tootsie), Sydney James Harcourt (CATS: The Jellicle Ball), Arielle Jacobs (Here Lies Love), Christiani Pitts (Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Tony winner Ali Stroker (Oklahoma!), and 2025 Jimmy Award winner Chris Hayes.
Broadway Cares is one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grantmaking organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of the American theatre community, since 1988 Broadway Cares has awarded more than $300 million for essential services for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States.
Other annual Broadway Cares events include Red Bucket Follies, Broadway Backwards, Broadway Bares, the Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, and more.
