Marisha Wallace, who shares the role of Effie White in the acclaimed London revival of Dreamgirls with Moya Angela and Karen Mav, has released her debut solo album, Soul Holiday, on all digital platforms and mini vinyl.
Songs include “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “Blue Christmas,” “Oh Come All Ye Faithful,” and, from Sister Act 2, “Joyful Joyful.” Wallace also recorded one of her “Dreamgirls” anthems, “I Am Changing.”
Wallace will celebrate her new recording with two concerts at London's Charing Cross Theatre December 3 at 5 PM and 8 PM.
Wallace's breakout role was Ado
Annie in Oklahoma!, where she received a Drammy Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She appeared in the first national tour of The Book of Mormon and then was cast in the original Broadway company of Disney's Aladdin. She was also seen on Broadway in the musical comedy Something Rotten!.
