Vero Beach, Florida's Riverside Theatre will stage A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder in the new year, and some familiar faces will be leading the musical comedy.

Running January 9–February 1, 2026, the production will be directed by Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors, Urinetown) and star Jake Levy (Wicked, Anastasia) as Monty Navarro and Dan DeLuca (Newsies, The Nutty Professor) as the D’Ysquith family.

Levy and DeLuca will be supported by Mary Kate Moore as Sibella Hallward, Lauren Medina as Phoebe D’Ysquith, Tregoney Shepherd as Miss Shingle, Jazmin Gorsline as Woman #1, Shawna Michele Hamic as Woman #2, Mikayla Agrella as Woman #3, Jackson Mattek as Man #1, Darrick Penny as Man #2, and Benjamin Robert Lurye as Man #3. Ensemble members will include Jessie Jo Aka, Sabrina Brush, Brad Greer, and Chris Mauro.

The musical features a score by Steven Lutvak and a book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman. Based on Roy Horniman’s 1907 novel Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal, the show premiered at Hartford Stage in 2012 before moving to the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego and subsequently opening on Broadway in 2013 at the Walter Kerr Theatre, where it ran for 1,013 performances.

The show, which won the Tony for Best Musical in 2014, tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. All the while, he’s got to juggle his mistress, his fiancée, and the constant threat of landing behind bars.

The creative team also includes choreographer Alison Soloman, music director Jeffrey Campos, scenic designer Nate Bertone, assistant scenic designer Joshua Warner, costume and wig designer Kurt Alger, lighting designer Christina Watanabe, sound designer Craig Beyrooti, and production stage manager Jackie Mariani, with Lydia Runge and Katie Wilhelm serving as assistant stage managers. Casting was conducted in New York by The Wojcik Casting Team.
