Disruption, a new play by Andrew Stein about the relationship between human life, happiness, and technology, holds an industry reading March 31 at 4 PM at Open Jar Studios in Manhattan. Hersh Ellis directs the reading.
The cast features Heidi Blickenstaff (Jagged Little Pill, [title of show]), David Wilson Barnes (The Lieutenant of Inishmore), Tina Benko (Top Girls), Victoire Charles (Pretty Little Liars), Avanthika Srinivasan (Testmatch), Paco Tolson (To The Yellow House), Sathya Sridharan (India Pale Ale), and Tommy Schrider (War Horse).
Stein said in a statement, “I started thinking about how technology is this slow-burn, taking over our lives inch by inch until what? Where does it end? And is this something we ultimately really want?” Disruption follows a tech gazillionaire who believes computers can tell us what makes us truly happy and the friends he uses to prove it.
Jack DePalma serves as producer.
