On December 12, casting firm Casting by ARC held an open house in Manhattan for theatre industry members. The event, at ARC’s midtown offices at 347 W. 36th Street, celebrated the company's current and upcoming projects. ARC is the casting office for the Broadway shows Othello, Real Women Have Curves, The Lion King, and Chicago.
"Rather than a traditional holiday party, we decided to host an open house—a lively yet elegant experience where we literally threw open the normally mysterious doors of a casting office to say, ‘Everyone is welcome here at ARC,’” said Duncan Stewart, vice president of ARC. “It was an evening to honor the artistry, collaboration, and incredible artists we’ve been privileged to work with since ARC’s inception—a gift we don’t take for granted.”
The event included around 60 industry professionals, including producers Barry Weissler (Chicago, Real Women Have Curves), Brian Anthony Moreland (Othello), Danny Whitman (Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS), and Carl White (A Wonderful World); and actors Vincent Jamal Hooper (The Lion King), Bianca Marroquín (Chicago), Telly Leung (Aladdin), and Robyn Hurder (Chicago).
