News HBO "Def Poet" Brian Dykstra to Premiere Uncensored Solo Comedy Off-Broadway Award-winning playwright and actor Brian Dykstra (HBO's "Def Poet") is set to premiere his new solo show, Brian Dykstra is $elling Out Off-Broadway, directed by long-time collaborator Margarett Perry.

Presented by Eric Krebs, performances will begin Jan. 27 at the Playroom Theater.

According to press notes, audiences can expect an "uncensored, highly charged one-man tour-de-force" that is "a hilarious and impassioned examination of the corrupting influence of money and the pursuit of happiness...This show is anything but safe and will make you think as hard as you laugh."

Dykstra's new solo show combines stand-up, storytelling and slam poetry.

Brian Dykstra is a playwright and performer whose stage credits include Lucky Guy, Jerusalem and Seminar. His plays have been produced Off-Broadway, throughout the US and internationally; they include Clean Alternatives, The Jesus Factor and Forsaking All Others.
