Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International has released the 2015 Broadway musical Finding Neverland for licensing.

Based on the 2004 film and its source material, Allan Knee's 1998 stage play The Man Who Was Peter Pan, Finding Neverland delves into the story behind the creation of J.M. Barrie's iconic boy who wouldn't grow up, with music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham. The story finds Barrie a struggling playwright who befriends a widowed mother and her four sons, ultimately finding the inspiration for the work that would make him a household name. The musical premiered on Broadway in 2015 playing 565 performances.

"Finding Neverland is a musical that lets audiences and performers experience a special kind of magic that allows their imaginations to soar," says MTI President and CEO Drew Cohen in a statement. "We are so excited to invite schools and theatres everywhere to bring the heartwarming story behind Peter Pan to life on their own stages."
