Jo—The Little Women Musical in Concert, a new musical version of the famed Louisa May Alcott novel, was presented January 25 at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Check out photos from the one-night-only event in the gallery below.
The cast featured Christine Allado (Hamilton) as Jo March, Kerry Ellis (Wicked, We Will Rock You, Anything Goes) as Marmee, Kelly Mathieson (The Phantom of the Opera) as Meg March, Sophie Pollono (I Love That for You) as Amy March, Eleanor Grant (Avatar LIVE) as Beth March, Tobias Turley (Mamma Mia!) as Theodore Laurie Laurence, Chris Mann (The Phantom of the Opera tour) as Professor Bhaer, Miyuki Miyagi (Beau the Musical) as Sallie Gardner, Julian Ovenden (Bridgerton and The Crown) as Father, Yazdan Qafouri (The Kite Runner) as Fred Vaughn, Olivier winner Tracie Bennett (She Loves Me, Hairspray, End of the Rainbow) as Aunt March, Barry James (She Loves Me, Sweeney Todd) as Grandfather/Mr. Laurence, and Liam Tamne (Prince of Egypt, Wicked) as John Brooke.
The performers were backed by a 27-piece orchestra. Ensemble and chorus performers were provided by Vocals Unlimited with Tom Pearce serving as choirmaster. Orchestral management was by Isobel Griffiths Ltd.

Jo—The Little Women Musical has music by Dan Redfeld and a book and lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej. The concert was directed and choreographed by JoAnn M. Hunter (Bad Cinderella, School of Rock) with musical direction by Redfeld.
At the heart of this musical adaptation of Alcott’s coming-of-age novel is Jo March, a fiercely passionate young writer whose grief over losing her sister inspires a story that continues to resonate with audiences everywhere.
A mix of Broadway, London, and international stars—including many who reprised their work for the concert—can be heard on
the studio cast recording, released globally May 23, 2025, by Center Stage Records on all platforms. Nigel Wright
and Redfeld produced the album with Brian Purcell as executive
producer.

A different version of the famed Alcott novel, with a book by Allan Knee, music
by Jason Howland, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, played Broadway in 2005, earning a Tony Award nomination for Sutton Foster's
leading performance as Jo.
