Directed by Olivier Award winner and three-time Tony nominee Steven Hoggett (Once, Rocky, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time), the cast of singer-musicians is led by Kyle Riabko, who co-conceived the show and has done the new, yet faithful re-interpretations of over 30 of Bacharach's classics.
These include such standards as "Alfie," "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," "What the World Needs Now Is Love," "I Say a Little Prayer," "Walk on By," "A House Is Not a Home," "That's What Friends Are For," "Close to You," "(There’s) Always Something There to Remind Me," "The Look of Love," "What’s New Pussycat?," "Do You Know the Way to San Jose?" and others.
Bacharach and David wrote the score to the 1968 Broadway musical Promises, Promises.
After being introduced to Bacharach at a Los Angeles recording studio, Riabko created a series of demos, reinterpreting his songs. Over the ensuing months, he took the demos to Bacharach who gave his blessing to the show, of which he has said, "It’s brilliant. Kyle has done something truly unique with my music. I loved it!"
