The 28th annual National Memorial Day Concert is broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on PBS May 28 beginning at 8 PM ET; check local listings.
Oscar nominee and Emmy and Tony Award winner Laurence Fishburne joins Tony Award winner Joe Mantegna to host the 90-minute event. Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) will open the show with a special performance of the national anthem.
The all-star line-up also includes Hamilton Tony nominee Christopher Jackson, Grammy Award-winning opera star Renée Fleming, multi-platinum recording artist and star of television, film, and the Broadway stage Vanessa Williams, country music performer Scotty McCreery, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting, acclaimed actors John Ortiz and Ana Ortiz, Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan, actor Robert Patrick, Tony-nominated actor Mary McCormack, and the U.K. cross-over artist Russell Watson. The performers will be backed by the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of pops conductor Jack Everly.
