It was just a moment in the woods—Cheyenne Jackson completes his short run August 2 in the dual roles of The Wolf and Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods at the St. James Theatre.

Jackson began performances July 24, stepping in for cast member Gavin Creel while he was in residence at The O’Neill National Musical Theatre Conference performing his theatrical concert Walk on Through: Confessions of a Museum Novice. Creel will return to performances of Into the Woods August 6.
The New York City Center Encores! production of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical recently announced both an extension to its run, now through October 16, and an upcoming cast album.
Into the Woods is directed by Lear deBessonet, with music direction by Rob Berman with The Encores! Orchestra, and choreography by Lorin Latarro. It features an all-star cast including Sara Bareilles, Brian d'Arcy James, Patina Miller, Phillipa Soo, Joshua Henry, and Creel, along with Julia Lester, Cole Thompson, David Patrick Kelly, Annie Golden, Nancy Opel, Aymee Garcia, Ta'Nika Gibson, Albert Guerzon, Brooke Ishibashi, Kennedy Kanagawa, David Turner, and Alysia Velez. Rounding out the company as understudies are Delphi Borich, Felicia Curry, Jason Forbach, Alex Joseph Grayson, Cameron Johnson, Paul Kreppel, Mary Kate Moore, Diane Phelan, and Lucia Spina.
