Cast members from The Old Globe's upcoming world premiere of the Broadway-aimed musical Regency Girls, which will begin previews April 2, have posed for a series of character portraits that can be viewed in the gallery below.
Directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, the new musical will officially open April 10 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage. Performances are currently scheduled in San Diego through May 4.
The cast will feature Isabelle McCalla as Elinor, Krystina Alabado as Dabney, Kate Rockwell as Jane, Ryann Redmond as Petunia, Nik Walker as Stanton, Gabe Gibbs as Dingley/Galloping Dick, Janine LaManna as Lady Catherine/Madame Restell, Sav Souza as Scutter, and Benjamin Howes as Earl of Lenwich.
Ensemble members and understudies include Kyla Stone, Marissa Rosen, Amy Jo Jackson, Ariella Kvashny, Ellis Dawson, David Engel, and Joél Acosta with swings Laura Leo Kelly, Jacob Caltrider, Sophia LaRosh, and dance captain Wesley Carpenter.

Allan, music by three-time Emmy nominee Curtis Moore, and lyrics by
two-time Tony nominee Amanda Green, Regency Girls follows
Elinor Benton, who is in a predicament: She’s pregnant, unmarried, and
living in 19th-century England. Facing certain ruin, she gathers up her
best friends and sets off on the ultimate road trip to find the one
woman who might offer a chance to change her fate.
The upcoming production will also have orchestrations by Curtis Moore and James Sampliner, music supervision by Sampliner, scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by David Israel Reynoso, lighting design by Adam Honoré, sound design by Jason Crystal, music direction by Patrick Sulken, additional arrangements by Dan Lipton, fight direction by Jake Millgard, dialect coaching by Nathan Crocker, casting by Paul Hardt of Hardt Casting, and production stage management by Anjee Nero.
