The voices of Tony winners Alan Cumming and Christine Baranski—as well as those of Kiersey Clemons, George Eads, Brad Garrett, Lucy Liu, Jim Parsons, and Lucas Till—will be heard in CBS' Michael Jackson's Halloween. The special will air October 27 at 8 PM.
The new, one-hour animated adventure, featuring the music of the late pop icon, is created and produced by Optimum Productions.
Cumming and Baranski starred together in the CBS series The Good Wife; the latter also headlines the CBS All Access spin-off, The Good Fight.
The special, according to CBS, follows “millennials Vincent (Till) and Victoria (Clemons), who meet ’accidentally’ on Halloween night and find themselves, along with Ichabod the dog, at a mysterious hotel located at 777 Jackson Street called This Place Hotel. Once inside, Vincent and Victoria are sent on an unexpected, magical adventure of personal discovery, culminating in a spectacular dance finale featuring an animated Michael Jackson.”
The program will feature animation production by Hammerhead. John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson, serve as executive producers. Mark A.Z. Dippé directs.
