Broadway grosses were up slightly for the week ending January 19. The 29 running shows brought in $33,372,166, up from $32,176,529 the previous week. Notably, even though January is a notoriously slower time in the industry, last week's grosses marked a 41.47% increase from the same week in 2024.

The acclaimed revival of Thornton Wilder's Our Town played its final performance at the Ethel Barrymore January 19. During its last week, the Kenny Leon-directed production took in $1,084,024. The starry production played to 95% capacity audiences with an average ticket price of $134.51.

The international hit Wicked remained at the top of the list, taking in $2,602,661 at the Gershwin Theatre. Others in the top five included Hamilton ($1,900,809), the Audra McDonald-led Gypsy ($1,891,769), The Great Gatsby (Jeremy Jordan's final week took in $1,856,068), and the long-running The Lion King ($1,748,286).

Overall, 250,806 people attended a Broadway production, paying an average ticket price of $133.06. Attendance was down by less than 1%, likely due to one less show running on the Main Stem than the previous week. Nineteen of the 29 running productions brought in over $1 million at the box office.

This week, Broadway will officially welcome the Pulitzer Prize-winning English, which will open January 23 at the Todd Haimes.
