The Dramatists Guild of America has revealed that its digital talkback series, The Dramatists Guild Presents: TALKBACK, will return after a two-year hiatus.

Sponsored by the Dramatists Guild Foundation and hosted by Tony honoree Christine Toy Johnson (A Little More Blue), the sixth season will unfold throughout the final quarter of 2025. Each episode will cover a variety of topics, including pay equity and compensation, the evolving landscape of new play development, modern marketing techniques every writer can adapt, the value of owning one's work, expanding community involvement, and more.

Consisting of seven episodes, this season will feature conversations with Dramatists Guild President, Grammy nominee, and two-time Tony nominee Amanda Green (Mr. Saturday Night); Guild Vice President, Pulitzer winner, and two-time Tony winner Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (Purpose, Appropriate); Guild Secretary, Tony nominee, and Pulitzer finalist Kristoffer Diaz (Hell’s Kitchen); Guild Executive Director of Business Affairs Ralph Sevush; Guild Council member Gretchen Cryer (I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road); Tony winner, two-time Grammy winner, and three-time Pulitzer finalist David Henry Hwang (Yellowface); and Pulitzer finalist Lloyd Suh (The Far Country).

Beginning October 24, a new episode will be released on YouTube and all major streaming platforms every Monday through December 1. Listeners are also invited to watch filmed versions of these conversations on the Dramatists Guild and Dramatists Guild Foundation’s YouTube channels.

Christine Toy Johnson is the executive producer of the series. The podcast was filmed, recorded, and edited by Bruce Johnson and is distributed by the Broadway Podcast Network.
