Original Kinky Boots stars Billy Porter and Stark Sands return to the Tony-winning musical September 26, reprising their performances as Lola and Charlie, respectively.
Tony Award winner Porter and Tony nominee Sands return to the production at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for a limited engagement through January 7, 2018.
“We’re so excited that the schedules have aligned for this to happen,” producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig said in an earlier joint statement. “It’s rare that we get to welcome an original star back to a show almost five years into its run, so to get to welcome both Billy and Stark back together is a thrill for all of us!”
In other recent casting news, Delaney Westfall joined the Broadway company of Kinky Boots as Lauren August 22. She succeeded Taylor Louderman, who is set to take on the role of Regina George in the D.C. world premiere of the Mean Girls musical.
A new block of tickets for Kinky Boots, which has played more than 1,750 performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, is now on sale through August 26, 2018.
