The Tony nominee and West Side Story film star will be joined by musical guest Roddy Ricch.

West Side Story film star and Tony nominee Ariana DeBose will host the January 15 episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC, with musical guest Roddy Ricch. The episode will be the sketch comedy mainstay's first broadcast of 2022, according to Deadline.

DeBose stars as Anita in director Steven Spielberg's new film adaptation of West Side Story, but began her career on stage, appearing in the original companies of such musicals as Bring It On, Motown, Hamilton, A Bronx Tale The Musical, and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.She's become a fixture of the movie-musical scene, starring in Netflix's screen adaptation of The Prom and AppleTV+'s limited series Schmigadoon.

No stranger to hosts with Broadway cred, past SNL hosts have included Christine Baranski, Bea Arthur, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander, Nathan Lane, Alec Baldwin, Barry Bostwick, John Lithgow, Matthew Broderick, Gabriel Byrne, Desi Arnaz, and many more. DeBose is the second Hamilton original cast member to host the show, following Lin-Manuel Miranda's Emmy-nominated hosting turn in 2016.
