Three-time Tony nominee Andy Karl is getting hitched again! Karl and Elise McCann took to social media August 28 to reveal their engagement, which occurred July 28.

It has been a whirlwind year for the couple, who met during the Australian production of Groundhog Day, where they starred opposite one another. News of their relationship went public last summer in the aftermath of Karl's divorce from his frequent co-star Orfeh, who he had been married to for 23 years after the pair met on Saturday Night Fever. 

Since his divorce and Australian sojourn, Karl has poured himself into stage work, replacing Steven Pasquale in Teeth Off-Broadway and stepping into the boots of Le Duke de Monroth in Moulin Rouge! the Musical on Broadway earlier this year. Beginning in January 2026, Karl will be starring in the title role of the Singapore debut of Beetlejuice the Musical.

McCann is currently starring in the Australian production of Beetlejuice as Barbara Maitland. In addition to Groundhog Day, she previously starred in Australian productions of Mamma Mia! as Donna Sheridan, Merrily We Roll Along as Mary Flynn, and Matilda the Musical as Miss Honey.
