Moments before the curtain went up on the new Broadway revival of Cats, the stars of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s productions came together to pose for a photo celebrating the composer’s distinction of having, once again, three shows running on Broadway.
Lloyd Webber posed backstage at Broadway’s Neil Simon Theatre with the leading players from his current trio of Broadway productions: Tony Award nominated Alex Brightman (Dewey Finn in School of Rock—The Musical), James Barbour (Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera), and Leona Lewis (Grizabella in Cats).
It's not the first time Lloyd Webber has enjoyed this distinction. Phantom and the original production of Cats played simultaneously with Aspects of Love in the early 1990s and with Sunset Boulevard in the mid 1990s.
