Broadway ensemblist Amber Ardolino will start the new year as a principal player in A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical. Beginning January 2, 2024, Ardolino will join the jukebox biomusical as Marcia Murphey, the former wife of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Neil Diamond.
Ardolino succeeds Tony nominee Robyn Hurder, who, as previously announced, will play her final performance December 17. Ardolino can currently be seen at the Winter Garden Theatre in Back to the Future. Other credits include Moulin Rouge!, Hamilton, and Funny Girl.
A Beautiful Noise takes a look at the life of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, then and now, accompanied by hits from his decades-long career in popular music. All songs are written or co-written by Neil Diamond. Tony winner Michael Mayer directs the musical, which officially opened at the Broadhurst Theatre one year ago, December 4, 2022.
Ardolino joins American Idol winner Nick Fradiani as Neil Diamond–Then, Tony nominee Mark Jacoby as Neil Diamond–Now, and Shirine Babb as Doctor, along with Jessie Fisher, Michael McCormick, Tom Alan Robbins, and Bri Sudia.
In celebration of National Blue Jeans Day, Ardolino is styled in jeans and top provided by NYDJ.
