Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, whose hit TV Land series Younger was just renewed for a seventh season, stopped by The Late Late Show With James Corden July 25 alongside special guest Eddie Izzard.
Foster revealed that she’s an avid knitter, and brought special hand-made gifts for Corden and Izzard that she knitted during her recent flight to New York, including a T-shirt for Corden’s daughter, and an egg cozy for Izzard. (Izzard was Tony-nominated for his performance in the 2003 Broadway revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg.) He’ll return to Broadway next spring, co-starring opposite Laurie Metcalf in a revival of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Later in the segment, Corden challenged the Younger star with a game of Who’s Your Co-Star?, in which Foster had to pick one of her former scene partners out of a similarly-dressed and typed lineup.
In addition to shooting Younger, Foster is also preparing to co-star opposite Hugh Jackman in the upcoming Broadway revival of The Music Man, which will begin previews in fall 2020.
