What happens when you take the score of one iconic musical, a group of performers, and just 24 hours to pull it all together? Encore Productions presents The 24-Hour Spelling Bee—a high-energy night built in just one day. Featuring selections from “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”, this one-night-only performance captures the thrill of live theatre in its most raw, unpredictable, and exciting state.
To kickoff the inaugural season of Encore Productions NYC, we are so excited to put on a 24 hour cabaret style production of selections from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. 24 hours between receiving your role & showtime.
Our cast will be notified a few weeks before the show if they have been selected, but won’t know what role they will be playing. The fun part is that you won’t know that until 24 hours before, meaning you will have 24 HOURS to learn the material given. We will rehearse during the day on June 14th, until soundcheck, then shortly after it will be showtime.
Please submit any Musical Theatre selection in the style of the show.
