Key Responsibilities

• Run rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances

• Maintain and distribute daily and weekly calls, schedules, and rehearsal reports

• Track blocking, cues, prop placements, and magic-specific staging requirements

• Ensure performer safety, consistency, and adherence to show standards

• Manage backstage operations and maintain professional company conduct

• Call and operate all show cues (lighting, sound, video, automation, and special effects)

• Oversee load-ins, load-outs, and technical setups as needed

• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly during rehearsals and performances

• Maintain accurate show paperwork including cue sheets, run-of-show, and technical documentation

• Oversee magic props, illusions, and specialty equipment

• Ensure proper preset, maintenance, and secure handling of magic elements

• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and prop tracking

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of magic methods

• Communicate daily performance notes and technical reports to producers

• Assist with onboarding and training new cast or crew members

• Enforce safety protocols and venue regulations

• Support special performances, press events, and understudy rehearsals
