DESCRIPTION

Assistant Stage Managers wanted for our Outdoor, Summer season: Shows are: Uncle Vanya (May/June), Hamlet (June/July), and The Dancing Men: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery (July/Aug). Stage Managers needed for Dress Tech and 4 weeks of performances. `

Uncle Vanya: May 23 – June 21

Hamlet: June 20 – July 19

The Dancing Men: July 18 – Aug 16

Dress Tech Rehearsals are Sat/Sun 12pm – 5pm

Monday DARK

Tues & Wed 4:30pm – 9:30pm

Performances are Thurs-Sun at 6:30pm. 16 performances per show (excluding rain cancellations).

Stipend: $700.00

ASM Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

*Assist the Stage Manager in getting materials (props, cushions, etc.) from the Green Room to the outdoor performance space with carts. A 6 minute walk.

* Help set up and break down the show every night. This includes clearing the steps of the monument and patio before every show. As it is an outdoor show, the set is very light. Production is costume and prop focused, as opposed to furniture pieces.

* Assist in costume changes for the actors off stage.

* Work well with the PSM, Costumers, Actors, and others on the artistic team. This is a collaborative theater company.

* Attention to detail, creativity, and accuracy in your work.

* A team player with problem-solving abilities, diplomacy, and communication skills.

* Being on time.

We are an outdoor theater company, performing in a public park, and with that comes interacting with passersby, audience members, and the weather. We appreciate a sense of humor and an ability to respond well under pressure.
